Head of Programming, Sheffield Doc/Fest.
Hussain has worked in programming for the Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide film festivals before becoming programmer for the Sheffield Doc/Fest in the UK in 2008.

Hussain Currimbhoy’s attendance is supported by the British Council.

Head of Documentary, AFTRS
Ruth has had a long career in the film industry. Her films have screened at festivals around the world including IDFA, Los Angeles, Montreal, Sydney and Melbourne. In 2010 Ruth won an AFI Award for the film ‘You Only Live Twice’.

Commissioning Editor, Documentary SBS
John worked for 10 years in the UK, exec producing a range of factual programming across a range of genres for Channel 4 and BBC2. He has produced everything from documentary to popular culture series for broadcasters such as SBS and Discovery.

Executive director, Australian International Documentary Conference (AIDC). 
Joost has worked in documentary production since 1999. He has worked for a number of international documentary co-financing markets, including IDFA’s Forum, Hot Docs’s TDF and was a consultant for Tribeca All Access at the Tribeca Film Institute.

Award winning documentary filmmaker and producer
Pat Fiske is an experienced director and producer. She is recognised as a prominent member of Australia’s independent filmmaking community. In 2001 she was awarded the prestigious Stanley Hawes Award for her outstanding contribution to the documentary industry in Australia.

Tom Zubrycki is an award-winning documentary filmmaker whose body of work spans 30 years. He has written and directed 15 documentaries, most of them feature-length and in his distinctive observational story-telling style.

Award winning documentary filmmaker
At 17 Maya directed her first feature documentary. After completing a Diploma and BA in Communications/Media she has been assisting Director Yung Chang (Up the Yangtze) on a number of upcoming documentaries.

Productions and Project Manager, Metro Screen
David is the Productions and Project Manager at Metro Screen and has executive produced over 150 Metro Screen productions. David is also a documentary filmmaker contributing material to a number of acclaimed documentaries.

Director, writer and producer 
Rebecca is a director, writer and producer of documentary and drama films and a graduate from AFTRS. Her work as director or producer includes: Footy Chicks (SBS), Inspiring Teachers (SBS), Home and Away (Channel 7) and Modern Marriage (SBS).
