Ruth Cullen
Documentary Director / Writer / Producer
Ruth has had a long career in the film industry. Her films have screened at festivals
around the world including IDFA, Los Angeles, Montreal, Sydney and Melbourne.
In 2010 Ruth won an AFI Award for the film ‘You Only Live Twice’.
Ruth was the head of documentray at AFTRS and has worked as an assessor
for the NSW Film and Television Office and the Australian Film Commission,
and as a specialist consultant to the FFC (now Screen Australia).

Hussain Currimbhoy
Head of Programming, Sheffield Doc/Fest
Hussain has worked in programming for the Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide
film festivals before becoming programmer for the Sheffield Doc/Fest in the UK in 2008.

Pat Fiske
Award winning documentary filmmaker
Pat Fiske is a director, producer and sound recordist and a prominent
member of Australia’s filmmaking community. Her two-part series about
private prisons in Australia and the UnitedStates, Business Behind Bars,
won a 2001 Walkley Award. In 2001, she was awarded the prestigious Stanley
Hawes Award for her outstanding contribution to the documentary industry.
Her films include the award-winning documentaries For All the World to See
and Rocking the Foundations (1986).

Susan Mackinnon
Exectutive Director
Documentary Australia Foundation
Susan has worked as an independent producer for more than 20 years,
winning many awards and international acclaim for her documentaries.
She is an Executive Director of the Documentary Australia Foundation,
established to create a new funding model from private grants to the
documentary industry.Susan is a board member for the South Australian
Film Corporation (SAFC). From 1998 to 2005, Susan was the Documentary
Investment Manager at the Film Finance Corporation Australia (FFC), where
she assisted filmmakers in negotiating finances for their documentaries.

Julia Overton
Consultant / Producer
Julia has had a career in the screen production industry in
Australia and internationally across all genres. She has worked for
Australia's national screen agencies assisting filmmakers in the development,
financing, production and marketing of their projects specialising
in the past five years in documentary.She is an international advisor' for
Hot Docs Canada, a member of the Australian Directors Guild and is a
national coordinator for INPUT the public broadcast television event.

Tom Zubrycki
Filmmaker, Producer
Tom Zubrycki is an award-winning documentary filmmaker whose body of
work spans 30 years. He has written and directed 15 documentaries,
most of them feature-length and in his distinctive observational story-telling style.
In 2010 Tom received the Stanley Hawes Award “in recognition of outstanding
contribution to documentary filmmaking in Australia”.
